- ➤ Honolulu Ocean Safety Department lifeguards rescued an adult male swimmer in distress off Manana (Rabbit) Island this morning at about 10:30 a.m.—they reached him on jet skis and brought him safely back to shore without further medical help. Honolulu Star-Advertiser
- ➤ On Wednesday, Jan. 28, a swimmer in distress near Manana (Rabbit) Island was rescued by Honolulu Ocean Safety Department jet ski operators at 10:27 a.m., and he did not need medical help. Hawaii News Now
- ➤ The Honolulu Fire Department said a McCully home (2016 Young St.) caught fire on Sunday when an e-scooter lithium-ion battery exploded in the living room; firefighters controlled the blaze by 4:56 p.m. with estimated damage of $248,000 and no injuries reported. Honolulu Star-Advertiser
