Honolulu Ocean Safety Department lifeguards rescued an adult male swimmer in distress off Manana (Rabbit) Island this morning at about 10:30 a.m.—they reached him on jet skis and brought him safely back to shore without further medical help.

On Wednesday, Jan. 28, a swimmer in distress near Manana (Rabbit) Island was rescued by Honolulu Ocean Safety Department jet ski operators at 10:27 a.m., and he did not need medical help.
