- ➤ Punahou Carnival returns on Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7 at Punahou School in Mānoa as a two-day event featuring rides, games, food booths, an art gallery (the state’s largest) and live music that raises funds for school financial aid, with parking and payment options provided. - ➤ Hawaii Supreme Court heard arguments Tuesday on an insurance appeal challenging a wildfire settlement exceeding $4 billion that involves Hawaiian Electric and local governments; survivors, including one from Lahaina, wait for a ruling — a decision that may unlock billions for about 21,000 victims. REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Aloha Stadium’s new plans include 31,000 seats, 28 suites with cup holders, and two club lounges. Dismantling is set now with district offices blessed Feb. 17, and construction will begin by August to complete the project by March 2029—all part of a 98-acre entertainment district with housing and retail.
