- ➤ The Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Kapiolani Community College will offer free baking courses in Fundamentals of Baking and Pastry Arts (April 6 to 10) and Dessert Design in the Hot Kitchen (April 13 to 17) as part of a Workforce Development Program with scholarships for locals and military. - ➤ Keiki in grades 5 to 12 can enter the 4-H GET Local Video Cooking Contest by March 20 by making a 5 to 7 minute video of a healthy recipe using a local ingredient. Winners will receive a farm and food adventure on Oahu to learn kitchen and gardening skills. KITV
- ➤ Students from Mid-Pacific Institute have gained international recognition as their films were accepted into festivals in New Zealand, Australia, and Oregon and will also be featured at the Women of Wonders Film Fest Hawaii on Sunday, March 8 at the Doris Duke Theatre in the Honolulu Museum of Art. - ➤ Local farms delivered fresh microgreens (from Kupu Place) to school cafeterias on Mar. 5 to boost healthy school meals in Honolulu. KITV

- ➤ The DBEDT and HGIA warn Honolulu residents today to beware of door-to-door solar sales reps falsely claiming that a state program offers free solar systems. Residents may file complaints with the Office of Consumer Protection within three business days if misled & pressured. KITV

- ➤ Hawaii's Rainbow Warriors defeated UC Riverside 93 to 74 tonight at Bankoh Arena, with Gytis Nemeiksa scoring 19 plus Dre Bullock and Isaac Finlinson each adding 17; the win improved their record to 22 to 7 and clinched a double bye in next week's Big West tournament in Henderson, Nev.
