- ➤ Honolulu’s 97th Lei Court was crowned on Feb. 28 at Mission Memorial Auditorium; Lei Queen Puamana Louise Garcia, First Princess Chariya Willis, and Princess Joy Lynn ʻAlohilani Barredo Alegarbes will serve as ambassadors at the Annual Lei Day Celebration on May 1 at Kapiʻolani Regional Park. - ➤ Former U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa died at age 74 Thursday as confirmed by her family. Gov. Josh Green ordered flags at half-staff in Honolulu + she was known for her leadership at the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation Board and is survived by her husband John Souza. - ➤ Ewa Beach native Jourdyn Curran made her international debut for the Philippines Women’s National Team in Australia during the AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
