- ➤ Following the Kona Low storms, Hawaiian Humane Society has launched its 100 Foster Challenge to recruit 100 new foster families over two weeks and ease shelter crowding. - ➤ Local business leaders in Haleiwa say the town is open with safe measures as it recovers from recent storms that dropped customer visits by up to 80%. A Wahiawa Health popup clinic will return Thursday at Waialua Elementary School to offer medical services. Hawaii News Now

- ➤ Travelers attending the Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo must follow quarantine rules that prohibit moving ‘ohia from Hawai‘i Island to slow rapid ‘ohia death. PQ inspectors will check Hilo and Kona airports on Sunday, Apr. 12 and Monday, Apr. 13 for any prohibited material. Hawaii News Now
