- ➤ After storm damage, HDOT finished slope stabilization at Waimea Bay and reopened the makai lane of Kamehameha Highway between the parking lot and Iliohu Way on Tuesday, Mar. 31 at 8 p.m. The project restored the path with soil anchors, drainage, a shotcrete wall and cleared vegetation for long-term stability. - ➤ City crews are cleaning up debris and helping residents recover from the Kona low storms. Starting Tuesday, drop-off sites at Otake Camp and Long Bridge will close and a new donation center will open at BYU Hawai'i in Laie (operating Tues, Thurs and Sat until April 11). Hawaii News Now
- ➤ Honolulu officials warned residents against scams following the recent Kona low flooding. The Department of Emergency Management and FEMA advised people to verify aid requests and report suspect contacts. Hawaii News Now
- ➤ The ocean access stairs at Point Panic near Kakaʻako Waterfront Park reopened after repairs were completed by Abhe & Svoboda Inc. The Hawaii Community Development Authority said the project upgraded railings, welds, grout and steps to improve safety for ocean users. Hawaii News Now

- ➤ Health officials in Honolulu caution residents that leptospirosis (spread by contaminated floodwaters and animal urine) may infect people and pets weeks after storms. They urge community members to take precautions following recent flooding. KITV
