- ➤ Honolulu police arrested Nathaniel Walters Radimak—a 38-year-old man on parole for prior road rage assaults in Southern California—at 2121 Ala Wai Boulevard in Waikiki on Thursday at 4:40 p.m. on suspicion of third-degree assault, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and contempt of court after he allegedly attacked an 18-year-old woman and her mother while they parked their car on Halekauwila Street in Kakaako. - ➤ DOCARE officers seized a fishing vessel on May 8—finding four miles of illegal longline gear about seven miles offshore—and cited Kona fisherman Konane Zager, who faces a court appearance on June 19 for catching three ahi. KITV

- ➤ UHERO forecast shows that federal policies including high import tariffs, sweeping layoffs, and stricter immigration rules are pushing Hawaii toward a mild recession by lowering consumer confidence and straining the tourism sector.
