  • Flood victims on Molokai are receiving help at the Mitchell Pauole Community Center in Kaunakakai after Kona Low storms caused damage weeks ago. Molokai Cares connected over 400 households with aid and reminds residents to apply for FEMA funds by Thursday — more aid is available until June 14.  Hawaii News Now
  • Helping Hands Hawaii will deliver 3,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to keiki in kindergarten through 12th grade across the state as part of its 2026 initiative.  KITV

  • Two months after the Kona Lows caused widespread damage on the North Shore, local businesses in Haleiwa are slowly recovering as foot traffic increases and community support remains strong. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents along Oahu’s Leeward Coast in Maili remain engaged in flood recovery after the Kona Low storms, tackling water, mud, and mold damage in homes and vehicles.   • Two non-aggressive sharks measuring 5-7 ft were spotted Tuesday morning near Electric Beach at Kahe Point. Warning signs have been posted and visitors are advised to check with lifeguards before entering the water (911 for emergencies).  KITV
