- ➤ Honolulu Police are searching for a man after a shooting in Kahuku on May 21 left a 30-year-old woman in critical condition during an argument that escalated—she was shot in the upper torso. KITV
- ➤ A special needs student was beaten off campus near Leilehua High School on May 21 when a group of students attacked her, leading to the arrest of four individuals as police investigate the incident—video of the attack spread on Instagram. KITV

- ➤ Hawaiʻi Gas announced a pilot project with Ayrton Energy that will begin early 2026 to test e-LOHC hydrogen storage at its Synthetic Natural Gas plant on Oʻahu — the project will study the safe, cost-effective use of hydrogen as a zero-carbon fuel source.
