- ➤ The Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Association is hosting the fifth annual Hawai‘i Hotel and Restaurant Show on Wednesday and Thursday at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall, where vendors and food service companies will display products and lead food-preparation demonstrations by chefs Lillian Cumic, Sam Choy+cake decorator Michelle Ho. - ➤ Hawaii Kai resident Matthew Smith was acquitted of attempted murder by reason of insanity after he stabbed his landlord and two roommates during a fight over food in their shared East Oahu home in 2023 — he now remains in custody at the state hospital under the Department of Health. KITV
- ➤ The Honolulu Police Department is searching for a suspect after a stabbing injured a 37-year-old man in Waianae—police said the attack occurred Friday around 4 p.m. near Mill and McArthur streets and the victim suffered multiple torso wounds. Hawaii News Now
- ➤ A 34-year-old man was arrested near the Honolulu District Court on Friday at around 12:30 p.m. for allegedly lunging at a 29-year-old woman with a knife on Alakea Street—she escaped unharmed and charges for terroristic threatening are pending. Hawaii News Now

- ➤ The Miss Oahu Filipina Pageant—celebrating 50 years of empowering young women—will take place on June 21 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom where four contestants will compete for a $1,500 scholarship and the chance to represent the island as Miss Hawaii Filipina.
