- ➤ The Honolulu Police Department is seeking a man who set a vehicle on fire with a Molotov cocktail on Friday night on Honowai Street in Waipahu—surveillance captured him on a light-colored moped while wearing a long-sleeved orange shirt and mask. Hawaii News Now
- ➤ The Honolulu Police Department opened an attempted murder investigation early Saturday after a stolen silver Jeep reversed and accelerated toward an officer near the Kamehameha Shopping Center in Liliha+the vehicle was later found abandoned along North Nimitz Highway and a suspect in black clothing with a ski mask fled on foot. - ➤ A federal judge heard arguments on June 20 to decide if the Navy violated the Clean Water Act at the Red Hill fuel facility, where leaks from March 2020 to September 2021 put drinking water at risk for military families in Honolulu. The judge took the matter under advisement and will issue a written ruling later—her decision may affect claims by the Wai Ola Alliance. Hawaii Free Press
