- ➤ A 43-year-old man was stabbed at an ATM at Makiki Shopping Center just after midnight Thursday and he went to a nearby hospital in critical condition after the attacker stole his money — police say no arrest has been made yet. KITV

- ➤ The 21st Annual Korean Festival will be held at Honolulu Hale on August 2 — the event runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and returns next month to bring Korean culture to our community. Hawaii News Now

- ➤ The Office of Hawaiian Affairs withdrew its two lawsuits over Maunakea on June 26, saying it will work with Native Hawaiian leaders and Governor Josh Green for better care of the sacred mountain — a change that shifts funds from legal battles to cultural and environmental stewardship. - ➤ The City and County of Honolulu's Department of Design and Construction will begin a $3.3M project at Ala Wai Golf Course on Monday, July 14 to replace a deteriorated pedestrian bridge and restore a damaged vehicular bridge over Kapahulu Ave—access to the clubhouse and driving range will remain open during construction, which is set to finish by December 2026. - ➤ On July 1, sixteen boats set sail from Long Beach for the 52nd Transpacific Yacht Race to Diamond Head, including local racer Insoumise led by Frederic Berg of the Hawai‘i Yacht Club. More boats will depart on Thursday and Saturday as 53 teams from several countries race a 2,200-mile course — locals will follow the race with real-time tracking and public events at local yacht clubs.
