CRIME NEWS

  • A wrong-way head-on collision on H-1 westbound in Makiki on July 20th at about 3:45 a.m. killed a 25-year-old woman and sent a 77-year-old man to hospital when her sedan hit his 18-wheeler — authorities later reopened the roadway by 9 a.m.  KITV
  • On Saturday night in Kaka’ako, officers arrested a 29-year-old woman suspected of driving under the influence who became combative and bit an officer— the injured officer was treated at a nearby hospital.  KITV
  • On Saturday, a 29-year-old female driver was arrested near Ala Moana Boulevard + Koula Street for DUI and disorderly conduct after she became combative and bit an officer during her arrest, and the injured officer was treated and released from the hospital.  Hawaii News Now

  • Local film leaders formed the Hawai‘i Film Alliance to push for better state tax credits and support workforce training as the industry faces fewer big-budget productions.
