- ➤ A big 8.7 earthquake hit today at 1:25 p.m. off Kamchatka, and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami watch at 1:33 p.m. then a warning at 2:43 p.m. HST— the first tsunami wave may arrive around 7:17 p.m. and could affect all Hawaii coastlines. Hawaii News Now
