  • Local farms and chocolatiers are working to build a gourmet chocolate industry by growing Hawai‘i’s only commercial cacao and making tree-to-bar products that show off unique flavors. A statewide survey showed that cacao acreage reached 189 acres in 2024 with plans for 50 more acres in the next five years—local companies like Mānoa Chocolate are set to offer tours that explain how local cacao turns into exceptional chocolate.  Hawaii Business

  • Kevin’s Kitchen is a new Hong Kong-style restaurant on Beretania that offers roast meats prepared by master roaster Ping Li and a BYOB dining experience.
