- ➤ Honolulu firefighters rescued two boaters from a 10-foot Livingston boat that began sinking before sunrise Thursday in Kaneohe Bay — the boaters held on to a flotation device for 45 minutes until rescue boats arrived and towed the vessel to Heeia Kea Boat Harbor at 5:27 a.m. Hawaii News Now
- ➤ A 22-year-old motorcyclist died after he lost control and crashed into a guardrail on the H-1 freeway near the Middle Street overpass in Kalihi at about 1:45 a.m. Thursday, which police said made it the 51st traffic fatality on Oahu this year compared to 26 at the same time last year.
