ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 57-year-old man fell off a Kuhio Avenue sidewalk near Royal Hawaiian Avenue in Waikiki on Friday at 4 p.m.—he was struck by an eastbound transit bus and taken to a hospital where his condition worsened to critical—while the bus operator remained uninjured. Hawaii News Now

- ➤ Fred Ulu-Perry, 28, was arrested on Aug. 14 after allegedly attacking a St. Louis football coach during a Farrington scrimmage on Aug. 2 and was charged with second-degree assault on Aug. 16—his bail was set at $25,000. KITV
- ➤ Honolulu police and the state Department of Law Enforcement held a gun buyback event in Wai‘anae on Friday — a measure to address a recent rise in gun crimes on Oahu’s west side. KITV
