- ➤ Wildfires destroyed Kunia farmers' crops and left their livelihoods at risk. A fundraising campaign by KVDC, Hawaii Agricultural Foundation, Ko Hana Distillers and Nalo Farms aims to raise $100,000 to restore farmland and fund fire mitigation—community members can join a tasting event on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kō Hana distillery. - ➤ A moped rider in her fifties died on Kaneohe Bay Drive when she was hit after a vehicle struck her following a rear-end collision Monday morning at about 6:50 a.m.—this fatal crash is now Oahu's 59th traffic death this year. KITV
- ➤ A 28-year-old motorcyclist died Monday in Waialua after his speeding motorcycle struck another vehicle — police said his death was the island’s second traffic fatality that day as Oahu’s total fatal crashes climbed to 60, far surpassing last year’s count of 29. Honolulu Star-Advertiser
- ➤ A moped driver died after a collision on Kaneohe Bay Drive near Puaae Road on Monday morning — police closed the road from Mokulele Drive to Keana Road at 7:12 a.m. KITV
