- ➤ On Wednesday, Honolulu firefighters extinguished a blaze at a Nanakuli home that displaced seven people — investigators looked into the cause as the Red Cross assisted the affected residents without any injuries reported. Honolulu Star-Advertiser

- ➤ The October magazine issue examines women’s workplace challenges and exposes the motherhood penalty ahead of the upcoming 2025 Wāhine Forum — a gathering that will host 1,000 leaders. - ➤ Hawaii lawmakers may introduce a bill to stop forced labor in making electric vehicle parts in the next legislative session — the measure would require makers to prove no forced or child labor was used in production. Hawaii Free Press
- ➤ Paakea Road reopened today in Nanakuli—providing drivers with another access route along the 6-mile stretch between Nanakuli and Maili Beach. Hawaii News Now
- ➤ Gov. Josh Green discussed plans to bring UFC to Hawaii’s New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District when it opens in March 2029—he met with UFC president Dana White and fighter Max Holloway in Maui during a donation for wildfire survivors. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Health officials warned Hawaii residents not to eat frozen raw shrimp recalled by Sea Port Products due to possible Cesium-137 contamination.
