- ➤ Today, the Hawaii Foodbank held its largest relief distribution event at Aloha Stadium to provide food assistance to thousands of families struggling amid a government shutdown that only partially funded SNAP benefits. - ➤ Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport is on the FAA list for air traffic cuts amid the government shutdown—reductions start at 4% today and will reach 10% next week as unpaid controllers prompt airlines to cancel flights. Honolulu Star-Advertiser
- ➤ The Office of Hawaiian Affairs approved more than $6 million to help nearly 15,000 Native Hawaiian families affected by the government shutdown—targeting food, housing and essential costs.
