- ➤ Kaumana Kalama’s childhood home in Halawa is being rebuilt after his father was killed in the line of duty nearly six years ago and his mother passed away five months later. - ➤ Lē‘ahi Brewing Co. opened two weeks ago at Aloha Tower Marketplace with a goal to restore Diamond Head’s slopes by funding work at Kuilei Cliffs through its beer sales—money from every pint supports Mahi‘ai Market and local restoration efforts. The brewery serves 18 taps with craft beers made from local ingredients and is open Thursday to Saturday from 3 to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7:30 p.m. Honolulu Magazine
- ➤ CU—one of South Korea's most popular convenience stores—opened today on Bishop Street in Downtown Honolulu, where hundreds gathered for the unveiling and a traditional Hawaiian blessing.
