  • Animal protection officer Eddie Louis, a 45-year veteran of the Hawaiian Humane Society, was honored yesterday when Mayor Rick Blangiardi proclaimed November 24th as Eddie Louis Day in Honolulu. He began his work as a 17-year-old high school senior on November 24th, 1980 and has since managed cases from wallaby rescues to animal cruelty investigations.  Hawaii News Now
