  • Catholic Charities Hawai‘i helped more than 11,000 families and 5,525 seniors last year with transitional housing, utility aid, and other services in Honolulu and Maui. The nonprofit will complete a new affordable rental project on Maui — set for early 2027.  Hawaii Business

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Today, Hawaiian Electric crews are working to restore a utility pole suspended near Waialae and 16th avenues in Kaimuki after a motor vehicle crash at 5:46 a.m., with police on scene — no injuries were reported and power is set to return by 12:30 p.m.  Honolulu Star-Advertiser

  • A union representing over 40,000 nurses & health care professionals, including 2,000 in Hawaii, filed an unfair labor practice charge against Kaiser Permanente, accusing the provider of pausing negotiations to bypass the national bargaining process.
